Five Months

Five months. Since the accident. It's a measuring tool now.
Before the accident.
After the accident.
Christmas came & we got through it.
Empty.
Sad.
Missing Barry & Zach so much especially when all our kids were home on the 26th.
Two empty spots at the table.
Two empty stockings.
The Christmas tree came down within the hour after the kids all left on the 26th. And all the Christmas decor was put away the next day.
No, it did not take away the emptiness or sadness but I just felt a huge relief when the reminders of Christmas were gone & I could say that the first Christmas was done.

I have such great memories from the last Christmas that our family circle was complete. I took alot of pictures that day.

Zach loved to flash his smile.
Abby putting pigtails into her dad's hair.

Little things that have become big things in our memory banks.
Christmas 2013 also held some special events & moments for us. Cards, phone calls & visits from family, friends & people from the community meant so very much to us. Many people reminded us that they are remembering our family in their prayers.
 We are so grateful.
2014.
A new year.
May the Lord grant us the strength to carry on.
And we must and we do.
With the Lord's help.
