Something I Don't Like - July Photo Challenge - Day 29

This was what the temperature was when we were in Winnipeg this afternoon. I do not like hot summer days!
Huge thorns on Hawthorne bushes are a hazard while riding or walking trails here in the Burwalde Woods.

Something Old - July Photo Challenge - Day 22

These grave markers are in a small cemetery on the farm where I grew up & now the farm is gone & these markers are in the middle of a field. This is where my great grandparents on my dad's side are buried.

Progress Report

We are installing the flooring now. I say "WE" because I've being helping a little now too! My job is sweeping, mopping, & cleaning up the garbage. Important jobs so the master carpenter can keep on task.

The one wall in the top picture may look grey but it is a medium brown - don't know what the actual colour name is. One wall in the living room & one in the master bedroom are painted a feature colour. The flooring is a handscraped laminate that we bought online & had shipped to Walhalla.

Something New - July Photo Challenge - Day 21

To me - a rainbow is always something new as it reminds me of God's Promise.

Something I Drew - July Photo Challenge - Day 20

I painted this for my son after he got his pilot's license on this type of an airplane. I drew the plane first, then traced it onto the board & then painted it.

Hands - July Photo Challenge - Day 9

My 96 year old mother's hands - have worked so hard, washed clothes on a wash board, prepared & cooked many meals, sewed clothes for me way into the night, milked cows even when she was in labour with my younger sister, hugged me countless times. These are the most beautiful hands!

Photo Challenge -Day 1 - Maple Leaf

I'm accepting a challenge from my niece, Sonya, to attempt a photo challenge for the month of July. With it being Canada Day today, there were many Canadian flags around. I chose to use a picture that reminded me of our trip to the Maritimes last fall & the many colourful maple trees we saw.
