A Quilt for my Sister

 This year it was my youngest sister's turn for a hand-made quilt from myself. I used browns, tans & greens with borders of light tans.

My Phaff sewing machine has an alphabet stitch so I like to personalize the quilts that I as gifts.

My sister seemed quite thrilled with her "nap" quilt. The name of the pattern is "All cooped up."

So, can you tell we are sisters?

I was so glad that my 96 year old mother could travel to my house for our Doell family gathering. I really wanted her to see my new one level home  & she thought my sewing room was just great. After the great grands had their photo op with mom, it was the sisters turn & we got many great pictures. We are so very blessed to still have our mother with us & in reasonably good health & able to enjoy these memorable family events.

On December 8th, we hosted our annual Doell Family gathering at our home. I was very happy that my mom was able to make the hour & ten minute journey together with my sisters & husbands. Our son & family, who live in this area, came for afternoon coffee & I snapped several pictures of my mom with 4 of her 26 great grandchildren.

The New Computer

I have purchased a new computer & the learning is alittle steep right now & need to enlist some assistance from Son #3. This was the only Christmas themed picture that I was able to download for now. So until I get some help, I may use my Ipad to continue this blog as it has been way too long since I posted.
