Leaving the Island

Today we said good bye to the beautiful island of PEI & took the ferry from Wood Islands to Caribou, NS.














Here we are driving onto the ferry.












The ferry crossing took about 70 minutes & we spent most of the time on the top deck. It was quite calm there but it got windy & cool as we approached land.












We found a wonderful place to have supper at the Linwood Inn in Badeck. It was beautifully furnished & this is the view from "the seat" in the ladies restroom!!

And then, finally after being in the Maritimes for a week, we got our lobster supper! We have tried several places along the way, but it always seemed to be lobster season on the opposite side of the province. Good thing the restaurant was dimly lit as these two Prairie people were wrestling with their lobsters trying to figure out how to get every morsel of meat out of the claws!!
