Gift Bags for Girls

On Wednesday afternoons, from 4:00 - 5:30 PM. I'm at church "shepherding" a lively group of  6 Grade One girls during the Girls Aloud Program. We start off with snack time, then a time of singing, a lesson from the Bible & then craft time. Today we had our last session before Christmas. I sewed a colourful bag for each of my girls & appliqued each one with their name & put in a few little stocking stuffers.

This was my photographer's assistant this afternoon.

And here they are holding up their bags. One girl was missing this afternoon. Charlotte, my DIL, came for the Christmas party today too. She " shepherds" when I am unable to be there.

The Guitar Quilt

I've made this quilt for my oldest grandson for  Christmas. He does play the guitar quite well.

The black & white blocks are words pertaining to music & guitars.

I photograph all my quilts so I took this quilt to church - when no one was in the sanctuary - & draped the quilt over & around the drum set & took pictures. If my grandson brings his guitar at Christmas, I'll get some shots with him & the guitar & quilt.

A Painting

I spied this on my son's garage wall. I painted this for him about 11 years ago after his received his pilot's license. The airplane is a Cessna - don"t know the number- on which he took his training. When looked at this, I thought that yes, I do miss painting. Maybe I'll try to paint some this coming winter seeing I still have all my paints & brushes.

Table Runner

I bought this kit to make this table runner when I was in Minnesota this past summer. The printed insets have scripture verses. It was very easy to sew & I think I'd like to use this pattern to make a few Christmas runners too.
