A dream coming true.
Oh, no! Now what?? What to do when a dream you've had for years is about to become real?? It has been our desire for years to do a volunteer assignment for MDS - Mennonite Disaster Service. Albert has gone a couple of times & the time just seemed right for both of us to see if there would be an assignment that would work for both of us. We filled out our applications & then went into Winnipeg for an interview this past Friday and we were immediately handed our assignment as "long termers"meaning a one month term. WE ARE GOING TO CALIFORNIA!! From March 6 to April 3. Albert will be a Team Leader meaning he will supervise volunteers on the building site. I will be helping in the office, helping with the cooking & hosting the volunteers who come for a week at a time to help with the rebuilding. Now we are studying routes & maps to decide what we want to explore on the drive down.

PS:ok, I had to "sign in" and tried my Google account which didn't work for me, so I signed up again, and misspelled my name. Therefore I deleted it, and edited ...... oh never mind.
