October Gratitude - Day 2
A person I am thankful for...
My husband - Albert. Been at my side for almost 48 years. We have faced many challenges together - The Best - our 3 sons & their wives & then 8 beautiful grandchildren.
The Worst - the deaths of our son & grandson in August 2013 & Albert being badly injured in the accident.
Today he is my constant Caregiver due to surgery on my shoulder today & will have my left arm in a sling for about 3 weeks & I am left-handed. Albert worked hard to get his projects finished so he can care for me.
P.S. I wrote this blog yesterday & preset when it for when I wanted this to publish.

Road 17N Quilt Shop
There is a new quilt shop in my town.
It opened about a year ago at this location on Roblin Blvd east.
This is Sherri, the owner who has also become my friend. Here she is working on a quilt for the Katie Cares Fashion Show on October 9th.
One of the colourful quilts on display.
Just a sampling of some of the fabric for sale here.
Love these Grunges. Used some of them in a quilt recently & it turned out great!
Lots of colourful aprons for sale & also you can join a class to learn to make one or purchase a pattern.
Brightly coloured baby prints.
Lots of patterns to chose from to make lots of projects.
Love the colours in this quilt!
When you are in Winkler, drop in at this quilt shop. It's a feast for the eyes & inspiration for the soul. And if you're not a quilter, you can still enjoy the variety of colour & fabric & the many steps it takes to produce one of these beautiful creations.
